However, a conversation we need to have in parallel to disclosure is about boundaries. It’s a topic we aren’t taught enough about, especially when it comes to porn use.
Sin is a term that’s historically been connected to salvation and a determinant in whether we’re worthy of God’s love. It’s no surprise, then, that we operate from a place of fear and shame around our perceived sins. However, if we know that sin is associated with shame and, at the same time, we don’t want to get rid of the idea that there is good and bad, what’s the solution?
This week, I’m speaking with Madi Davis, a 19-year-old student whose mission is to help girls who struggle with pornography. She’s a freshman at BYU and the host of the Sisters On The Front Lines Podcast where she speaks about and aims to combat the shame surrounding young women struggling with pornography.
